Reconnecting With Your Passions ♡

Hello.

I can’t believe it has been almost 9 months since I’ve last wrote on here.

Wow it feels good to be sitting down and writing this. By sitting down, I mean laying in my bed of course.

I’m not sure why it’s been so long since I’ve wrote. I guess I could use the basic excuse of “life” and being busy, but that’s exactly what I want to talk about today.

It might just be me, but lately time feels like it’s flying by. Honestly, I feel like time has its foot pressed down on the gas pedal with no plan to step on the brake anytime soon.

All too often, we get so caught up with “life” that we can only focus on the future. I mean there’s so much to think about, right?

I saw a quote the other day (I may have stopped writing, but I haven’t stopped my endless scrolling through quotes) that went something like this…

Finding yourself is returning to yourself.

Who were you before society and “life” got to you?

I’ve realized that growing up is about reconnecting with your younger self.

Start doing the things you loved doing as a kid before everyone told you it was weird.

Start doing the things that you loved before you “just got too busy”.

Was it reading, writing stories, making videos, drawing, dancing or playing the piano?

Why do we allow ourselves to disconnect from the things we love, when they bring us so much happiness?

I think it’s time that we start to reignite that childlike happiness that’s with in us. It’s time to find our happy places again.

We are so caught up in growing up, becoming adults, and putting our past behind us, that we lose a part of ourselves along the way.

My challenge for all is to try to make time for the child with in you.

Go to Barnes & Noble, stroll through the aisles and pick out a book.

Get a blank canvas and spend some time painting.

Go outside.

“Life” is not so important that you must lose sight of the things you love.

Find the magic again.
