"Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are." - Bernice Johnson Reagon
I hope you aren’t too annoyed by another “2020 reflections” post, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot.
I don’t need to state the obvious, we all have experienced this year and its’ effects.
When I rang in the new year, I remember thinking “this is my year”.
Well…it did end up being my year, just not in the way I expected it.
That’s life though, right? You create the perfect image of a situation and life comes around and turns that scenario 360 degrees.
This year gave me a lot of time to spend on my own. 2020 took me straight out of the normal hustle and bustle of life and said, “here’s some time to focus on YOU”.
That’s what I did.
In a year full of disappointment and gloom, I learned more about myself than I ever have before.
A period of time like this one, makes you think. I got the opportunity to get to know myself better.
My priorities. My passions. My peace.
2021 has the ability to be a better year for us, but it cannot do so unless you recognize how 2020 changed you.
You might not want to reflect back on this year, but I promise you will be able to find that 2020 transformed you, too.
I will step into 2021 as a new person. Someone who has experienced growth and transition.
And the most exciting part of it all….
I’m still growing.
